Wilderness First Responder recertification is available through Medical Officer, Ltd. via participation in the last three days of a 5-day WFR course, or by completing a full WEMT Upgrade or Offshore Emergency Medicine course. This program is open to graduates of qualified wilderness medicine programs of at least 64 hours in length completed within the past three years, including many WFR courses and National Ski Patrol Outdoor Emergency Care. Graduates of programs other than WMA must be able to produce a verifiable certificate or training record. Wilderness EMT recertification by any of the routes described above is available for graduates of Wilderness Medical Associates WEMT Upgrade or EMT+W programs only.
